The events aren't daily, did you try a new born baby?
Yes, I've tried a newborn baby. Now it seems like I can get family events for toddlers, but not infants, pre-teens (or whatever that age group is called in English, I play the Swedish translation of the game as I don't want to change my phone's language) or retired sims (so no career/hobby mentoring). One senior has the family icon above her all the time, but no mentoring activity is available. What do you mean with the events not being daily, did they change that? You can't have family activities with your kids every day (and get heirloom tickets)? ☹️
for the elder family event, your active sims must have career story to interact with the elder.
for the toddler.. yeap it happened to me too. in the morning I have 1 baby 1 toddler and 1 child but only the baby have family event, the toddler and child only have birthday sign. but when the toddler level up to child, there is no family event like previously usually do. so I am not sure whether I can finished the traits for my new child hehehe.- The Sims I'd like to have mentor activities with all have a. Career... And usually hobbies too.
- try to have career and hobby in same character. because I always focus on hobby, and for career I just add because I want mentoring from elder. and after the elder finished mentoring, the level up is for my career and not my hobby. good luck 🙂

- I've noticed that my family events have not disappeared completely (with the exception of mentoring), but appear significantly less. Previously, whenever my sims' offspring aged up, I was able to start another family event. Now, it is impossible for me to get to Lv3 of the good upbringing trait; I have noticed that I can only interact with offspring one or two times before they become an adult.
I got the same as sicariana today. No family event after aging up from toddler to child.
Also, I have two elders hanging around. Both had the family event icon, but once I started the family event for one of them, the icon disappeared on the other. Yesterday I got family events for both. Is there perhaps a limit for two family events per day? I have a baby too, and could complete a family event for him. I started that event before the elder’s event.
Did you still have a Sim available for the other mentoring event?
