Passive sim stuck in event and eco workshop not working at all

Hi there!  I have one passive sim that will not let me promote her and my other sims can not interact with her at all with their stories with her.  Her sim is grayed out and says she's in an event w...

I was able to get around this by removing the passive Sim. Then I went to my contacts list for another Sim and had that Sim call my stuck Sim to their house. It was kind of a pita but I had the second Sim marry my stuck passive Sim and was able to promote the first Sim back to playable that way. This only works if you're able to remove the passive Sim first. I have a completely different Sim stuck in passive in a different household that I havent tried this on yet but fingers crossed that it works. Hopefully this helps you.
