The Sims Mobile is an interesting game but people seem to be thrown off by the fact that the game will have microtransactions and use real time just like The Sims FreePlay. I'm sure The Sims Mobile will split The Sims' fanbase further as people will be divided between The Sims 3, The Sims 4, The Sims FreePlay, and The Sims Mobile as well The Sims and The Sims 2. If they have made the game paid and lacked the free-to-play restrictions, it would be a decent Sims game.I would like to try it but at the time of this post, it hasn't been released on the Amazon App Store or Windows Store.What do you think of The Sims Mobile?Edit: I have tried to download the game after installing the Play Store on my Amazon Kindle Fire HD but it wouldn't allow me to download it saying it was incompatible.

I don't think this game is going to be very successful. And I hardly can imagine anyone abandoning sims 4 for a simplified mobile version of sims 4 with tons of micro transactions.

Sims Mobile will not split the Sims' fanbase (IMO). We all are good at multi-tasking and plenty jump from thread to thread whether it be Sims2,3,4, or mobile threads, to voice our opinions of the games. People may be angry about this mobile game coming out of the blue, but it won't cause a division in the fan base. Again, this is just my opinion!If/when you try it, I hope you enjoy it! I personally, will not touch mobile apps ever!

Why? Did previous Sims mobile titles do that? This isn't a new thing, having a mobile title in the franchise. I'm sure that, like before, some Simmers will play PC only, some will play mobile only, and some will play both.

I think it's a good upgrade for freeplay. I was wishing we had something like this to replace freeplay for a while, as that game looks super dated. Here it is. Now that my head has cooled a bit, I think this game is a good thing. Some players are only on mobile, so this is nice for them. Maybe they don't have a pc. Maybe if thy like this game and concept enough, and see that it's so similar to TS4 in terms of looks, they will want to invest in a laptop, as TS4 would be basically that but with no limits. If anything this game brings mobile first players closer to The Sims 4, as freeplay looked more like it's own thing. More brand awareness and all that. I think we should be nice to all players, seeing that we are all fans of the sims, even though we might prefer dsifferent games. We don't need to have everyone playing TS4. Maybe you like TS3 more, or sims mobile more, and it's beautiful that we have this choice and diversity.

I personally am not a big fan of mobile games. It kinda surprises me that some people are surprised that the game would be in real time and not sims time and thinking since the game is "free" that they are getting the same game as the sims 4 but for "free". The game is in real time and not in sims time (Which isn't a shocker to me. its a mobile game. Most mobile games are going to be in real time). The game isn't fully free. There are micro transactions in the game. Then there are people saying "Well the mobile game has this and we dont have this on pc version." Well the sims 4 isn't done yet so there is still the possibility of getting some of these items in the pc version. Then there are some people freaking out over how why the reason we only get 1 EP a year is because of the mobile game...which is not the reason why we are only getting 1 ep a year. Then there are some other people freaking out over how they think the sims 4 pc will go a lot more slower thanks to the mobile game...which it wont. In the end I think people are just freaking out over nothing. It's just a mobile game.

Sims Mobile didn't change my opinion on previous games. It just did not hold my interest like prior games did. I tried it several times and deleted it. I prefer Sims FreePlay and Sims 2. Those 2 games are (for me) the best in the franchise.

Considering how TSM is basically a stripped down Sims 4, it's no contest.

Forever is a long time. You don't get to keep the sims 4 forever. It's on loan to you and tied into origin. EA owns TS4. Your paying to borrow it just like this new mobile game. You would only get to keep the sims 4 if EA decided to release the game from origin and offer it free. 10 years from now newer hardware may not be able to run the game. The sims 1 has a rough time running on new hardware.

I have the sims 1, 2 and 3 all on disc. None of my versions are tied into origin so yes I can keep them forever however I doubt Ill be able to play them in the future if they are not compatible with newer hardware.

Mine's on Steam, does that make a difference? Still 4 is better than mobile.

I don't know if this is not necro-posting since the previous reply was in July, or if it needs to go in a new discussion. Apparently it did NOT split up the fan base...and Windows 11 being able to play Kindle Fire games and apps to a certain extent hasn't split up the fan base either.

It looks like Sims 4 (now FREE) is going to collaborate somehow with the Sims Mobile team. How this will be done remains to be seen. I look forward to it.
