Sector change - F-UP

Question

People in my alliance have changed sector to join us.. but once the changed they where sent to the edge of the world behind all start points and cannot move past them.

How is that possible.. and
How do we get past all the X's to play the game ?

Which world is this. Sector jumping was altered a long time ago when they introduced the re-spawning of forgotten bases. Initially this resulted in the bases being placed at the edge of the forgotten area. This was then altered again.

Which world are you referring to?

In a newish world it will put you towards the edge but why can't you move past that I don't understand?
