WCS demands the best of the best. I tried for years before Project to be part of Mara or Schaffa, but was excluded (because I wasn't that good), and honestly when I approached some of the top players in those alliances for help with understanding the game, it was radio silence.
Everyone in Project was amazing at advice and providing help and input. For the longest time I thought Mara and Schaffa players were cheaters because of how fast they progressed. They aren't. They're just really good, and know how to play the game. I feel fairly confident stating that as long as a player understands the game, knows how to build their account, and has funds (yes it matters), they can be a top player. The first two takes practice and a bit of humility to learn and find why certain things matter. I hope to provide help to new players out in future worlds, and continue to learn and be better as the game progresses.
Likewise. I too tried to get in Mara a few years ago to learn this game better but instead was just laughed at by arrogant players I reached out too. Maybe it was my fault for reaching out to the wrong players. But that just fueled me to seek out elsewhere for tips and tricks. I’m sure we’re not the only ones that had this experience of not being good enough—or at least getting a worthwhile nod; hence, why Project was born.
But I can understand all the hate it’s getting now since that’s how I felt about those other elite teams when they were dominating.
Kudos to Project Command for opening up discord for the community and good job to leadership and the big players in WCS. Thank you.
