Forgotten Attack System Guidance V2

Based on the informative responses from @EE_Elephterion, I put together a quick flow diagram for everyone regarding the Forgotten Attack System that is used on some worlds.

@EE_Elephterion, I want to clarify that I am understanding the FA system correctly. Do the wave attacks work the same way with outposts?

Example*:
1 Wave: <19 outposts
2 Wave: 20 - 29 outposts
3 Wave: 30 - 39 outposts
4 Wave: 40 - 49 outposts
5 Wave: 50+ outposts

*Assuming a 10 field radius per base

Outposts do not count towards the number of waves, only forgotten bases within 10.0 radius
(Note also that you can attack them within 10.5 radius, but they can only attack you within 10.0)
This has been common knowledge since forgotten beta
  • IIRC every player is guaranteed their attacks, regardless of how many other players are around them.
So hiding in the crowd does not really work that way, as everyone will get at least one or two hits over 24h.
Also, Outposts do not contribute to the wave counter afaik. Only Bases.

Thank you chertosha. I assumed outposts didn't impact how many times a players base would get attacked once the base has been selected, but wanted to confirm with @EE_Elephterion, since the wording in his response could be interpreted both ways.

  • It look likes the base that will attack is choosen before the target, and the more players you have around you the fewer attacks you will have
That could explain why you are more attacked in 5 waves alone than in 1 waves surrounded by players
