Titanfall 1 Standard Edition - Unable to download free DLC

Recently bought an Origin key for the Titanfall 1 Standard Edition instead of the expansive Deluxe Edition. Game is supposed to allow the download of the DLC for free ever since the game's first anniversary. As I understand from the community, the fail text is incorrect and this is a permanent issue. EA Customer Service was not able to directly help me or provide me with a free Deluxe Edition upgrade. Wondering if there are any other solutions I should try before resorting to just buying the game a second time with the correct edition of the game.

Here's what the error text looks like. (Attached, error message in bottom right).

@A_Stinky_Gamer Looks like there's no official solution. However, Gamestop is still selling codes for the Deluxe Edition online for like 20 bucks. That's probably our only solution for upgrading the game, even if it means buying it a second time.

    Hi @CDriv3

To confirm we are unable to assist with Code/Game issues for purchases made from unauthorized digital retailers.

For more information check out our help article, Where to buy EA digital download games and virtual currency

That being said, Titanfall 1 is also a delisted game from online stores. So only those who owned it prior to being removed can still download it.

I suspect as the free DLCs need to connect to a storefront of some kind to process your order, you are unable to purchase (free or otherwise) content for the game with them being delisted.

From here you can either play Titanfall 1 as it is on your account or speak with your retailer for any other possible options.

    Cheers,

  • @CDriv3  Damn man that’s so annoying, I love this game to death so I probably will end up buying the code but regardless it’s still kinda messed up how they left it like this.

@A_Stinky_Gamer Fully agreed. Will also probably end up buying it through Gamestop. Will say it's a bit annoying to buy, since I'm in Canada and it won't accept anything but American street addresses so I just have to make one up...

@CDriv3 did you end up getting the deluxe edition? I too got a key as given I have no disc slot this is the way and whatever solutions I find online provide no results. All I can do is dwell in campaign or FD and wait

I think the solution is just buying another key for the Deluxe version. Walmart or maybe it was Target, and Gamestop I believe have it, on the sites. I haven't had the chance to do it yet because I need an American to; it's "US" only, but the key works internationally; but my dark keeps declining so I need to get an American friend to and pay them back.

But as I understand, if you get Standard, you can redeem buying a Deluxe edition key still.

So basically I wasted money buying the Standard Edition on CDKeys.
