So I'm having this engine error: file corruption detected error as well during startup this seemed to have happened after a Windows update.
Brief description of the issue: When starting the game the Respawn entertainement logo appears and then a window appears to say: Engine Error: File corruption detected, please repair or reinstall the game. Once you click OK, the game closes.
I've attached the dxdiag file as instructed.
Brief system specs:
CPU: Intel Core i7-5820k at 3.3 GHz (6C/12T)
GPU: MSI Radeon RX 580 ARMOR MK3 8GB
DirectX: 12
RAM: 16 GB DDR4 @2400MHz
Storage in which Titanfall 2 is installed: Samsung 960 EVO M.2 512 GB SSD
Storage in which Origin is installed: (C: Drive) Samsung 840 EVO SATA 256 GB SSD.
Internet connection of 120 Mbps
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit version 1903 (OS Build 18342.1)
Troubleshooting steps:
- Right click on the game in the Origin library and clicked on Repair, re run the game, same error.
- Uninstalled the game and then reinstall it, bought the game in English and installed the game in English, re run the game, same error.
- Ran the CHKDSK tool to verify the disk in which Origin is and where Titanfall 2 is, no bad sectors found.
- Ran the sfc.exe command, found some corrupted OS files and it got repaired, re-run the game, same error.
The only thing that I've noticed that might of made it corrupted was that there was a Windows Update that required a reboot, after the reboot the game started giving out this error.
