Way to get Titanfall 2 on Steam if you already own it on Origin?

Recently Titanfall 2 became available on the Steam store. I already own the game on Origin but would like to get it on Steam so I don't have to deal with Origin as much. Is there any way to do this, such as entering a code? WWW

  • Your in luck.

Had TF2 on Origin since the beginning. 2016

    The story

Like you I wanted to get rid of Origin.

After all they have won worst company in America twice back to back and regularly appear in the top 3.

Demonstrated by the 450 plus whinge post perhaps that has been ignored mostly.

Anyway, bought TF2 on Steam thinking I'd play it on Steam. Uninstall Origin, bye, bye.

Nope, start it up on Steam and it opens up the Origin client and you play it through Origin.

BTW, your Steam copy appears on Origin, next to your Origin copy, only it has Steam written on it.

It does not appear in my Steam library list. Maybe different for you.

What's worse is I now have 2 copies of TF2 and that's stopping me starting up the TF2 Northstar client.

    You will get error 0xc0000005.

Think I can fix but waiting for Northstar to mature a bit.

    Origin for me is TF2.

Although I have the Battlefied series, excepting the new one. Don't play them anymore.

TF2 was far superior to them from my point of view.

    Important bit, you listening Origin?

Without TF2, Origin would be dead to me and I would uninstall it.

My water is telling me the chance they will not care one fig is fairly high.

    The answer you seeketh.

No. As far as I know there is no way to play TF2 without the great and powerful wizard of Origin.

Enterring codes or not. Worshipping the Sun God or dancing round the apple tree at midnight will not change anything....I've tried it.

    I feel your pain.

  • Most games released by EA that have now returned to Steam require Origin to play apart from a select few from a certain year and before so any game from I believe 2013 maybe earlier you still need Origin to run to make it work if you buy it through Steam, thought some latest games dont it's a bit mix and match with EA for example Star Wars Squadrons does not need EA running to play it on Steam.

Dont ask me why some games do some dont but for me personally if I am going to buy a game I'll find it cheap as a legit site not that g 2 a con site and just use it's launcher i'd rather have it on steam yes but i'm not having 2 launchers running for a game when 1 is enough. Personally if you bought it legit through Steam that running should be more than enough
