I've been playing tapped out for 4 and a half years and it was just a couple months ago that I found out that you can move boardwalk tiles on to the beach, by using the selection tool. I assume that there are other people who don't know this. This is why I started this thread. I don't think that this design is all that great, it is an example of possibilities.
Notice that some decorations (the donut truck and barracks) can straddle the boardwalk and land. I did something similar with Marine World, but the wharf looks better.
