I post my images to imgur.com, which has a photo editor that lets you do basic things like resizing and cropping. It seems pretty common these days, so hopefully the site you're posting to does too. If not, try Imgur. It's way easy and fast. You can even make memes on it, which always comes in handy. :)
On topic – I'm putting off designing until after the event, but my plan is to make a whole Candyland section of SF including the Chocolate Shoppe, Fortress of Choclitude, Suzanne's house, Gingerbread Mansion, Fireworks Candy & Puppies, etc.
