So what's the best items to get from the Yearbook? Just item or building recommendations primarily please. I plan to get most of the characters outta the Yearbook sooner or later. I need good...

You're in for a disappointment. Like Homer, Ray's only Recycling task is to collect Trash, and only at the regular rate of 50. Not that he isn't useful to have, but...
I would like Ray.
It would make it quicker than just Homer if they are all recycling, and if it's an event there's no one, so Ray would certainly help.
Sure, I can hold some characters back and collect trash but then they are out of sync when they go in with everyone else.
From the gist of @baksinengl89 's post it seemed that (s)he belied he paid out premium - 75 instead of 50. He doesn't. But like I said, he's useful to have.
