Businesses of springfield major event concept

Night mode, 360 orientation of buildings and non premium office buildings that you can use as 'filler buildings' in your town our just a few of the ideas for the next big update idea for tapped out.

The office buildings were inspired by Family guy a quest for stuff anyone who plays would no that you can pay for non premium buildings like a typical or sleek office this works the same as the brown or blue house in tapped out

The 360 orientation of buildings would allow for new perspective of buildings and although this is highly unlikely it is still a cool thought

Perhaps with Mr burns sunblocker(in this case non premium) you could use this to access Night mode a perspective unlike most for the game this could easily be done seeing how most animations for buildings involve lights turning on

Here are some buildings for the update to add:
Birthplace of Jebidiah Springfield, Springfield Dentistry,Springfield bus station, Springfield hazardous waste treatment plant, Springfield military naval base, Springfield laundromat, Springfield videostore, Springfield travel agent, Springfield x, Springfield costume store, Springfield municipal building, Springfield Stamp museum, D'erricos market, Lackluster video(Blockbuster), Leftmart, leftorium

It could also have returning items like costmo the fire station and leftmazon
  • I love your ideas!

Unfortunately as already mentioned, what you've described is pretty data transmission heavy, so pretty unlikely at this stage in the game.

There's a post here somewhere from YEEEEARS ago, where one of our old skool regulars modified a game screenshot to look like the perfect "night mode". I would LOVE this. But you must realize, that just like the winter "snow" theme, a night theme would require a whole separate database of every single item. Most mobile devices cant handle a full second database. So unlikely anytime soon.

Similar prob w the 360. Not every building is symmetrical . So someone would have to be tasked with creating files for every single building and shrub, to add the alternative orientations. Thats a lot of design coding for no profit increase, so probably not.

Its hard accepting the limits of the game. But i've come to realize its part of the challenge of town building.

I do use "placeholder " buildings. There's a couple from the superheroes event; some that are "zenith city " buildings, which I eventually remove when a suitable new building becomes available in the mosr recent event.

Also useful is the "training walls" which can be stacked to resemble an office building or store. These are handy when presenting a "back of building" effect. Maybe try that?

  • I think a good event would include medicine woman for a Thanksgiving event since they are usually minis. Perhaps homer wants to drink and watch the football game with his buddies at the bar. But medicine woman intervenes. Decoration could include the simpsons family table having a Thanksgiving dinner as a viewable task to conclude the event. Sure EA could get the rest of the filler.
  • Night mode has been discussed many times over the last 5 years or more, unfortunately due to the game design it would require a huge download every time you switched between night and day (same size as an event) as the skins of the buildings would need to change, 360 rotation is possible but unlikely at this point in the games life, as to filler building I can't see much use for them as once you really progress in the game you will easily hit the item limit with the buildings and a basic decoration of your Springfield without fillers, given time pretty much all items will make a return as to your list of new buildings we'll have to wait and see what they add in future events ad there's no real logic to what is added ( well known buildings/characters missing from the game, items that appeared in a single episode for a few seconds added.
  • wow! Thanks for mentioning this, its a shame they are unique
