Here’s some examples for non-neighboreenos…
Look at this garbage corral. I used “the technique” for the chain link fence along the coast, so I could place the concrete walls and green gate behind it:
These cliff side structures and the retaining walls appear elevated when I force the lake behind them:
The satellite should appear floating over the mansion “below” it
The technique allowed me to create this rocky shoreline…
…and the river running under this hotel building…
…and under the rope bridge to make it appear much higher in elevation:
There’s lot of places I’ve made roads look like they continue behind taller structures, but this design is most elaborate. I’ve tried to make the Bandit Hideout and Stonecutter Lodge appear on a large cliff overlooking the farmlands behind it. Continuing the road with “the technique”; and the cornfields using repetition of form helps make this illusion happen.
This pic shows the difference clearly. I’ve left one section of land at the door, for the gondola to be boarded. The rest of the coast has water coming right up to the embankment. This looks even better when the snow is gone
