Dagnabbit! (Multiverse event)

This event had been going so smoothly. The Graviton collecting was coming out exactly - 115, 155, 175...
Now on this last phase calls for 200! That means I'll be 5 Gravitons short tonight when it's time to go to bed.

  • I think it was made to be 200 just to have a round number to end the event's prizes but it was also 200 for the last prize in the Springfield Enlightened event. It would've been better if there was another freemium character to earn currency or if the last prize could've been 195 or Homer didn't have a job in the final part. Its pretty much a problem for people that didn't buy any of the premium characters.

Unrelated: I was about to unlock the Space-time Continuum yesterday afternoon since I would've had just enough currency to unlock it but I forgot to send Noir Homer on the job to Trip Over Princess Homer. After that, I sent Noir Homer on the job and I manually sent the characters (from the characters' task lists) to get more currency but I planned on rushing Noir Homer's job for free when it reached 24 mins remaining but I forgot to log in 3 hours and 36 minutes later so I thought I would've lost the 40 currency for the final prize and moved onto the next part because of Noir Homer's job being complete.

When I collected from the characters, I unlocked the Space-time Continuum and I was surprised to see I also got the 40 currency towards the final prize. I'm guessing it could've been because after unlocking the continuum there was no dialogue at the end of part 4 and I got to part 5 of the Armpit of the Universe questline or I could've just been lucky. Whatever it was, I'm glad I didn't lose extra 40 currency towards the final prize.
  • You may not want to rush to clear the yearbook. I did.

And now I'm seeing all the stuff i bought, being offered in these new events, for redeeming the event tokens. Now i only get a dozen donuts per token, and it feels like such a waste.
  • Opposing point of view:
I'd rather have already bought the Yearbook items than waste the Event tokens getting stuff I could have got for 30 Donuts.
Event tokens cost a minimum of 48 Donuts, but that's buying 5. If I only need 1 token they cost 60.
And remember: this game is only a few months old so it's got almost nothing.
  • I got the impression that for the second to last collection, we needed to split the characters to send them to different buildings, by using the trick where you hide the primary building, let a few characters go to the secondary building, then restore the primary building for the rest of the pack. That could have allowed one extra 5 (at least) to already be in your tally when you begin collection of the last 200. That's how i got my newtube building already.

That said, i do have the new aliens collecting at the premium rate. If you didn't have them you likely couldn't have collected at the rate i did.

I'm keeping my 4 advanced games in sync with my testing game, so no bonus characters until I've finished the prize track. It's too confusing otherwise.
  • I hate having to do math to figure out how many to hold back for the next round (by waiting 5 minutes). I ESPECIALLY hate it when I have more characters in one game than another (no Barney in this game, no Frink in this game, no Sophie in this game...).
Just 3 to 4 more months and I'll have this research game up to the point where I can stop raising my multiplier and start buying the bonus characters and clearing out the Yearbook.
