This was brought on another thread and I hope that if this post has some attention, maybe EA can make it real: Please let us place cars in the roads. We already can put rail tracks so I see no problem...

You are correct. For a short period of time Mr. Powers car and the ice cream truck could be placed and then road added underneath until EA fixed the glitch
