- Well, it gets you a monorail :p
Not sure if you still can do this, but you used to be able to “ride the monorail”. Basically you would just follow the train around your town. Mine is in pieces at the moment, so I can’t check if it’s still available or not
Edit: just confirmed this is still available - In my 4 years of TSTO, the Monorail construction has consistently been the most interesting part of the game - especially after the mountain tunnels were introduced. My monorail (and stored pieces) number well in excess of 9500 sections and I hope we get new land at some point so I can expand my rail system. And yes, "Riding the Monorail" is a hoot now that it takes upwards of 8 minutes to complete the main loop.
- If you don't wanna use the monorail no big deal at least put the stations down they make you money
- bluntcardSeasoned RookieIt just gets you a monorail. I love the idea of a monorail until I put it up, then I hate the way it looks messy and blocks buildings. It does look good going around Krustyland though, like the Disney monorail.
- wadebearRetired HeroIf you get Little Lisa's Recycling Plant from the Yearbook you don't even have to grind. Just collect from LLRP every 4 hours and you'll get all the pieces and the donuts without the nuisance.
Yes, I know, it's ugly and makes a weird noise. But I got blamned tired of grinding the Monorail every week. - Nah... 450 blueprints every 4 hours to get to 25,000, I will keep grinding.
It was either Tuesday or Thursday night's, can't remember which as I got Donuts around about both times.
I turned in some bundles and 1x LLRP to 24,552 and the following morning I collected the LLRP again, got the prize and only over by 2 blueprints.
A few weeks back I goofed it up.
I was supposed to collect from LLRP in the morning but went straight to the Depots, completed the jobs, went into Blueprints, turned in smallest job.
ARGH... Used 496 blueprints when I only needed 450, wasted 46 to get the pieces and the Donuts.
Then put them all back to work again. - For the Monorail grind, besides the LLRP I would recommend to get the Hippie, Jessie, Dewey Largo, Uter and Brandine from the Yearbook asap if you don't have them.
Since those premiums help out with the grind.
I personally only really need to unlock Ray Patterson from the Yearbook to help with the Monorail stuff. Since he also helps out with that as well. - AirurandoPRising NewcomerIt got me a 10 minute long monorail journey around my town with 5 stations (6 at Christmas time.) I don't grind anymore as I have 7000+ pieces in storage, no more need for the donuts and no more land to expand the monorail. Developing it was my main reason for sticking with the game for over 5 years.
- Thanks for taking the time to check ?
If it’s just a visual thing I won’t bother yet as I’m still opening up the map and haven’t unlocked plenty yet
Thanks @jtgroth - If I could remember correctly, the station pieces that come with Krustyland station have small % bonuses in it. But I believe it was only available during a past event. When they made available this station later, it didn't come with the additional set pieces.
