Does os matter for friends

Don't know if this the right place I'm new just wondering if Android can add ios friends because I got a bunch of people that add me that say there not my neighbors or something along those lines if this has been answered before agian I'm sorry

I believe that as long as they neighbour has an origin account and play via it then it doesn't matter what OS their device is using (as long as it is compatible with the game).

So someone sends me a request I accept  then I'm not able to go to there town there name ends up at the very bottom like where u would send invites saying there not an orgin player or something j gotta go back and look

Maybe the people that are adding you are playing as Anonymous instead of using an EA/Origin account, not sure but possibly.
