Yeah, with that multiplier you probably would always come out ahead with the multiplier even without doing donut farming.
I have a much smaller multiplier (around 500%), and I keep it on at all times. I usually get one "level up" per day without it, so with it it's five times as much. In a couple of days I've already paid off the 25 donuts investment, the rest is all profit.
