Donut prices?
Donut prices are still the same here in the US. Boatload is $99.99 etc. The price of donuts in foreign countries is a function of the strength of the local currency vs US currency.

Higher donut prices seen in some countries doesn't actually have anything to do with EA.
This year, Apple and Google have been adjusting (read: mostly increasing) their prices for apps and in-app-purchases to adjust for 1) VAT being charged in some parts of the world, especially Europe, and 2) to a lesser extent, changes in exchange rates.
Search for "apple vat" to learn more. The rate increases aren't totally uniform, e.g., a £0.69 purchase might now cost £0.79, while one at the £1.49 price point might be left alone. It's annoying, but that's taxes for ya.
