Event tasks. Missing the way it was.

this comes up often. At this point, I miss every thing. Krusty's rigged wheel, crafting, gosh how I miss crafting which I used to despise. I miss the odd mechanics of each new event that we'd all try to figure out as a group which was the best way to play it. I particularly liked clash of clones. Battling random towns that we'rent on your friends list and the witty dialogue as you leveled up characters. Can't remember if this was the same event we had puzzles to solve in or not but I liked that too. Let's think good thoughts and hope the winter event is more challenging. Whacking day was also very amusing. All those eggs. :D

To keep us entertained, I wish that - - in between new "events" - - they'd just hit the "rewind/replay" button on old events. Give us something fun to do to fill our time. Just let us replay the original version of an old game. Like rewatching the original "Manchurian Candidate" before the new one was released. I wouldn't even mind not getting any new prizes, because asking them to make any changes means they'd have the excuse of saying that they're going to need some time because they're working on updating it. The "fun" part, to me, was the interactive "social" aspect and meeting deadlines and stuff.

In my opinion, it would be better than nothing.

(Incidentally, a pox on your head for saying you want the wheel event back. If I ever see another blue or pink or gold Easter basket, I'll end up curled in a fetal position in the corner of my room.)

Fully agree with you, the last proper main event was THOH XXIX, and this is not, it is yet more mini's stuck together, which is what we have had ever since last Halloween, well, apart from when there was nothing happening at all, main or mini's.

I came in late, might have been part way through a Rigellian Christmas, 2017 I think, so a lot of what you're talking about I have never seen like Krusty's Wheel, but I would love it if all those games that I have known as it is, were brought back.

That would make it more fun for me, rather than tap close tap close, but if the other stuff was too, well... kid and candy store / sweet shop ring a bell.

There isn't much engagement anymore and with no increase in the item limit, I am able to place items but can't do much more.

It feels less like an event and more like how the normal level of gameplay used to be.

Send them on a task.

4hrs later, collect. Send them on a task.

Turn off the device.

4hrs later, sometimes, place an item, can't design. Read some text. Send on a 4hr task.

Turn off the device.

Collect. Finish the storyline.

Turn off the device. Wait for the next act.

I wonder if it's because our towns are so big now? I mean we don't even have spookie theme music because it may cause lag or slow down the game. Maybe game play is simpler because that's all the game can handle now? I dunno.

It's not that the events were hard, but the wrong type of hard.

I liked crafting, I've crafted a fair bit of stuff, but I did not like having to get something I didn't want just to level up.

AND,

I did not like the costs steadily getting more expensive as the event went through the three act's.
So we had loads of little stuff from early on in our towns but few of the big stuff at the end.

Especially noticeable on Moe's Ark, Great Plains & Warmongers were painfully expensive, and to add insult to injury, you could only get 400 event currency from a DC, where previously, you could get 4,000.

It's a question of perspective, my two pence anyway.

Just back from a 3 year break. Seems like they should be able to figure out a happy medium between from the old way and the new way. ?
