Can't people just accept they've missed things?
The game hasn't exactly been hidden since its release
Hey there, neighbor. Could you do me a big favor and check out the Tapped Out page on Wikipedia? Just double-check the release date on Kindle for me, because I could swear it was June 24th, 2013. Unless I'm mistaken, that's more than a year after the initial release date that was exclusive to iDevices.4junk3000 wrote:

I don't understand this mentality at all.
Why does your place "earlier in line" entitle you to anything more than the people "behind you in line"?
You aren't special because you played sooner.
There are some people here who like to believe they are on a different level of play than those who came after them, and are protective of "their stuff". It's their badge of honor, and several love to shove it in the face of newer players that way.Now i CAN understand limiting EARNED items related to an event. As in, if you didn't play for Easter, you shouldn't have access to simply buy the Faberge egg that had to be earned.
But items which could be bought in the past, can and should be released in future limited releases. Games that penalize noobs for being new, don't last long.
You could buy the egg before you earned it through the quest. Other items that could only be earned through the quests and not through using donuts you have a point, they shouldn't be available until the event reappears.4junk3000 wrote:

That's the thing, all "limited" items are exactly that. We earned them by playing the game and watching the corresponding episodes and/or during the event.
Not sure where you are from, but there are times where being closer in line yields rewards. I recently went to SmashFest for Super Smash Brothers. By getting in line at 6pm, I was able to play the game. Those that got in line about 6:20, were kicked from the line since the store had to close at 9pm. So those of us that put in the time got rewarded for time spent.
I don't care if they rerelease items or not, but it's a nice to be able to differentiate between towns.- There are only a very few items that I missed, and they bug me very badly. I need the following items
1. Up, Up, Buffet
2. Tunnel of Love (Krustyland) - game was ruined by someone getting into my town during V-tines day event
3. Duff Racer
4. Cremo Bot
5. Moe's Limo
6. Twirl-N-Hurl (Krustyland)
Other than that I have EVERY other item that has been available (that I can think or know of) and is some cases I have multiple premium items (such as police cars) for effect. I have spent HUNDREDS of dollars on this game and would drop donuts in a HEARTBEAT for these items.
Also those that say "we have been playing since day 1 and deserve all the stuff while others don't" REALLY need to get over themselves. That is a VERY poor attitude to have and with all the issues this game has I know of a few people (including myself) that had issues and couldn't get to play during certain events and missed things.
My town was a victim of the infamous glitch that allowed other players to access your town and they spent ALL my donuts (over 600) all my money (over 5 million) and sold anything that they could. This was during the Valentines day event and it took a little over a month to get my town reset back to what it was before the incident occurred. I missed out on a LOT of the decorations for that event, and the tunnel of love ride for Krustyland (which we all know is a HUGE space for the small amount of stuff that is available for it). Not all "limited" items are EARNED. Some were only available for purchase by use of donuts.vetteeater wrote:
I'm guessing the supercollider is the structure which spawns the black hole? I'd want the structure, not the singularity - I already have the museum of natural history; the collider would be a perfect addition to the "campus" on my Springfield (don't look too close at the sign saying it's actually the high school).
When people say super collider do they mean that black hole? Because that's the 1 thing I really want
Also Kumiko, again. One can hope.4junk3000 wrote:

I was kinda putting myself in the "newbie" column in my post, so I've no idea where your 'special' insinuation has come from! I'm gutted that I missed out on the items I mentioned above, but I wasn't saying they shouldn't ever be available again. If they were warned through event currency, mark them up as premium items. If they were limited time premium items, I personally see no problem in them being marked up slightly higher (say, if they were 90 originally mark them up as 100).
I'd love to see previous Halloween items back in the Halloween 2014 update.- I'd like Brandine and the Mapple Store.
- I would live to get the Christmas items from last year I earned more than enough presents to recirve all items but do to some glitch it said I had received everything but could not get any thing past the Springfield mall despite multiple attempts to contact EA about the issue
- @prixton1
I just don't see how re-releasing content in a "yard sale" would conceivably serve as a disincentive to continue playing. Maybe you got Barney's Bowlarama for free in the Christmas event. Congratulations (seriously, congratulations - I'm happy for you, I'd have liked to go that route, but I'm happy to take what I can get). Did you stop playing because they brought it back as a high-dollar premium item for others to purchase later? Does my ability to purchase it detract from your having gotten it for free? They brought back Lincoln's Cabin for a short time as a premium purchase; were people up in arms about that? Just seems like thumbing one's nose at those who didn't (or couldn't) get involved earlier to say they should be barred from access. If it satisfies the consumers and potentially makes EA more money with next to zero effort on their part, I fail to see the problem.
It's the difference between "look what I have" and "look what I have that you don't."
