I didn't mean to give the impression that I didn't read your post. I did. I was talking specifically about bringing them back as premium purchases. You can stay active, earn emblems/whatever in these events and get them for free; if you wait, you get a chance to get them again, but you WILL spend donuts for it. It only discourages regular activity for people who don't mind spending real-world money to pick up what they missed later. I, personally, voted the first option in the poll on this thread.DeinonSlayer wrote:

I just don't see how re-releasing content in a "yard sale" would conceivably serve as a disincentive to continue playing. Maybe you got Barney's Bowlarama for free in the Christmas event. Congratulations. Did you stop playing because they brought it back as a high-dollar premium item for others to purchase later? Just seems like thumbing one's nose at those who didn't (or couldn't) get involved earlier to say they should be barred from access. If it satisfies the consumers and pktentially makes EA more money, I fail to see the problem.
I feel like you didn't really read what I said....I, too, missed out on the bowl a Rama, as I said in my post. And, I, too, missed out on many things I would like to have. But I understand that these items have a special value attached to them because the players who have them did have to put in the effort of playing the game at the right time to get them.
I also bristle at the "those who didn't (or couldn't) get involved earlier" comment. I specifically discussed that at the bottom of my post. I didn't (and in a way, couldn't) start playing until a friend told me about it last summer. I missed out on many items because of my late start, but I understand that that is just the way it works. I didn't put in the time, prior to then, so I wasn't able to get those things, the end. And if someone knew about the game, but it was only for i-devices, well then, as explained above, they could've bought an iPod touch cheaply if they really wanted to play, the same way you have to buy a play station to play little big planet or an xbox to play borderlands or whatever. And I'm not saying anyone should be barred from playing at all, of course. They just miss out on a few piddly little things (the way I'm missing out on several of those things), which would be cool to have but ultimately don't impact regular gameplay.
And yes, if all "limited time" content became permanently available, well then it would cheapen it for me.
Think of it this way: there are many players now who joined in the last year (such as myself), who want older items. If EA releases them now, as a limited time yard sale, then what will happen in another six or twelve months when more new players join? They will complain about missing items, and then what, EA will start having a yard sale every year with all "limited time" content so everyone can have it? Then the items will not be limited time at all, they will in effect be permanently available. Then there is no reason for me to log in every day or even every week, because I'll never miss out on anything because it will just be available again. So I can just log in a few times a year, get what I want, plant another crop of corn and be done with it...doesn't seem like what the game is supposed to be.
I brought up the bowlarama as an example of something which came back; not as an example of something which you, specifically, had.- There were three items I desperately wanted that were, thankfully, rereleased.
1. Witch Marge
2. Mausoleum (I just really like how it looks)
3. Abe Lincoln
The first 2 were originally Halloween 2012 and I wasn't a premium player then. After over a year of playing, I gave in and bought donuts and I wasn't letting the first 2 go by me again! I didn't snag abe because Reasons the first time, but I wasn't letting him go by me again either.
I suspect EA will rerelease everything. Because they like money. Lol. Though I think it's fair that things are more expensive the second time. Like the Duff racer was free the first time and a quarter mill on rerelease. Or, in witch Marge's case, cheaper donuts wise, but no s/l.
Oh, and Kang. He's awesome. So glad he got rereleased.
In my b game, I would really like sf falls. It's pretty. - I so much wanted but didnt get the Blocko Store.
I HATE that stupid Easter event! I got so many egg clusters, candy trees - would it have hurt to make some of those crap items be a lowly multiplier??
ooo me want Blocko so bad - Buildings I would love to add to my town: Cool Brown House, Mapple Store, Fort Sensible, Super Collider.
Decorations I would love to add: Limo, Fruit Bat Signal, Springfield Falls, Vending Machine, Devil Donuts Cart.
They have brought back a lot of items: Lincolns Cabin, Howards Flowers, Phineas Q Butterfats, O'Flanagan Pub, Swanky Fish, Gypsy Teller, practically all the Christmas stuff and Halloween stuff was returned. And they are bringing back Nighthawk Diner.
They do bring stuff back, I just wish they would bring back a few more Excruciator69 wrote:

I want you to know that my experience will be better or improved if you, as my neighbour, get these cool items.
I hope I get the chance to improve your experience my fellow neighborExcruciator69 wrote:

Can't people just accept they've missed things?
The game hasn't exactly been hidden since its release
I heard about it when it first came out, but I wasn't buying an iPhone just to play it. I got on board the day it was released for Android, at which time I had already missed the opportunity to get some cool items. I'm not complaining that I don't have them (I don't have enough land as it is), but if I had to vote for anything I'd say have an Android Party where you could get items that were never offered to that platform's users. prixton1 wrote:

If they are just piddly little things, what difference does it make? Why do you think anyone cares if it cheapens the experience for you?
Why is your game experience lessened by other people who have NOTHING to do with you get access to items that are more difficult to obtain due to the very nature of limited time?
You can't enjoy the game fully UNLESS other players have some form of envy for your town?
Honest questions because truthfully I hate your argument and your sense of superiority. Also, just because you are willing to surrender not being able to have items you missed out on, just so you can be "better" and not have the experienced "cheapened" by having items others cannot get doesn't validate anything.
I hope every item you treasure as unique gets an availability window for late-starters before the year is out and the game is completely ruined for you. Seriously awful attitude.
Just buy an iPod? Seriously? Unreal.
Geez. I don't have a sense of superiority. I don't feel like others should envy my town. I never said I was "better" than anyone either, that is ridiculous. This is how EA intended the game to be. If they didn't, they wouldn't ever have released limited time only content. Sheesh.
Unless you were actually in the room planning the game you have no idea what the intent was. This claim is entirely bogus because EA has re-released limited time content multiple times since the start.- CBH/Cool Homer, Mapple Store, Ultrahouse 2, Abe Lincoln, Santa Homer...Devil Flanders...
- In all honesty it always makes me laugh when these kind of discussions start up.
In a game where there is no pvp element, what possible difference could it make if someone gets the chance to add something to their SF that you already have.
Would it honestly cheapen or lessen your game experience because they gained access to something they either couldn't get to (Items available before the android release) or due to starting the game later than you. I really hope not but people do get very wound up and protective about the small groups of pixels on the screen.
Access to more content would hopefully mean more players, players staying longer in game and therefore a thriving community.
And I would love the mapple store, cool brown house, springfield falls, black hole, super collider
