- Castiel_ToukSeasoned NewcomerI'm excited about this is just because its dinosaurs but It would be great to have seen old Halloween items return rather the the zoo stuff.
Halloween prizes do come in later in the event and that's in act 3.
There is spooky music.
Also this whole event is based on a tree house of horror episode. - 4junk3000New SpectatorIDK why there's all this zoo stuff. I appreciate the offer, but it's a week too late for me. I just finished rebuilding my zoo, and I'm not about to bother making it larger because they NEED TO RAISE THE ITEM COUNT LIMIT
I would have bought every one of these zoo upgrades if the item count supported it.
And I appreciate the desert rocks being made available again. Same here, I want a few dozen of each of these to build a mountain range in my Outlands/desert area. BUT, no point when they still NEED TO RAISE THE ITEM COUNT LIMIT.
I have two dinosaurs in my Halloween box. Nothing else. So I won't be bothering to acquire either. I'm not going to make a large dinosaur park, because they NEED TO RAISE THE ITEM COUNT LIMIT
I do hope noob players will enjoy the event. But for veterans, this seems like a letdown. I'm not excited at all. Maybe something during the event will happen to change my mind. Perhaps a pleasant surprise like RAISING THE ITEM COUNT LIMIT.
*sigh* - bluntcardRising RookieIt stinks. Events now are based on how they can reintroduce old content, all the Zoo junk, etc. This event could have been any time of the year. A witches coven would have been perfect or each act could have been about a separate THOH episode.
I'm honestly amazed it wasn't about Aliens and Spaceships again.
I'll put out pumpkins and send ONE CHILD trick or treating. Wee. - 4junk3000New SpectatorI'm not even bothering to put out pumpkins. I'm too close to item count limit. It really takes all the fun out of the game.
There's no reason for a limit at this time. If it can fit in the grid, we should be able to place it. Micro management of space usage is obsolete at this stage in the game. - Castiel_ToukSeasoned Newcomer

Thinking about pumpkins I can't decorate with them in my second town. :( - Agreed. This event is booty butt. Not good booty, but bad booty. It’s a sad situation indeed.

Ahhh man I don’t think I’ve ever hated an event. I’ve disliked a few but always found something good about it. Halloween is my favourite event that I look forward to each year, but I have to say, I absolutely HATE this event. Nothing about this event is even slightly Halloween related. I was looking forward to expanding my Halloween town that I made last year, but no. Ugh!!!!!
I am with you 100%- Judging from the prizes and dates; Act 1 is by far the weakest. I hated the episode of THOH its based off of and I really don't feel the Halloween vibes BUT act 2, 3 and 4 at least appear to be what I'm after! Aliens, living mascots and Dr Hibbert's Island? Sign me up! Act 1 can't end fast enough

What are your favourite event? For me, i think it would probably be the baby event, where everyone got turned into babies
Casino event, whacking day and first halloween event are mine.
I also liked the first Halloween event where all the kids had trick-or-treating costumes and zombies spawned in the graveyards. My best choice is Stonecutter’s followed by the Casino event and Wild West (loved the iconic movie clips!). I used to enjoy the events that involved collecting and dropping items in neighbor towns, but visiting neighbors is too messed up now.- I have a lot of respect for the writing staff. I get rushed sometimes, but I mostly try and read event dialog and often find the jokes as good (if not better) as what's been on the show for the past 10 years.
And I totally get they're scraping the bottom of the barrel at this point trying to dig up new ideas for themes for event ideas and I feel they do really well considering most of the best or popular characters/buildings have long since been released.
Really, they've got a difficult and mostly thankless job, I feel they do the best they can with what they have and manage to deliver "I don't even remember what episode that character is from" content in the best possible package at this point.
That said, I'm pretty sure Halloween is one of the events almost everyone looks forward to the most, and this totally non-spooky, very un-Halloweeny theme is a bit of a kick in the teeth.
I probably would have been more forgiving if they'd concentrated on re-releasing old Halloween content instead of concentrating so heavily on returning decorations from blatantly NOT Halloween events.
I'll give a pass on the main theme because they need some freedom to create...but a huge "boo-urns" to not releasing more returning Halloween items.
