- I'm still on the fence on whether to get Sarah. 300 donuts is a lot (I passed on Scratchy for this reason). Maybe if she was half the donuts or even 200 donuts, I would easily get her since she's a classic-era character. I currently have over 550 donuts, largely due to KEM-farming. I had just reached level 939 a few weeks ago. However, my XP % bonus is only 430.60%. Many of you have over 1000% bonus and I hope to increase my XP % bonus that high. I only farm 40-60 KEMs every 4 hrs and get 3 chances for free donuts. Since I always go for 3, I get at least 9 donuts every 4 hrs. I can't easily KEM-farm as much as I like to, especially when my in-game money gets low.
Which relates to a few questions about Gil's offer:
1) Does the aquarium increase the percentage of the bonus zone area?
2) Is there an extra percentage increase to the conformity bonus rating after placing the aquarium?
Thanks. - lucienleon5197 years agoRising Rookie

I've got Sarah Wiggum earning event currency and haven't done anything else with her, but she has two visual tasks (cutting Ralph's hair and drinking boxed wine). The aquarium does not increase the bonus percentage (I'm not sure of the conformity impact).
Character-love aside, Scratchy was a way better buy in terms of the building and the accompanying animation imo. The I&S cartoon set works well in my film studio area, and the combined 'fight, fight, fight!' task with Itchy is one of the best animations in the game. If/when Scratchy returns it'll be worth picking up. "disman0091704;c-1979513" wrote:

No, to both of your questions. Buildings rarely add to the multiplier.
Something else to consider. Even though the price is ridiculously high, some characters rarely, if ever, come back around. And if they do, it can be a very long time.

That's why I didn't hesitate on this deal. I don't like the aquarium at all, but I saw it as a 300-donut spend on a 'must have' character. Donuts come and go... - I think 300 Donuts is far too high.
Was still an instant buy though :)
Edited cause of wrong information - Loanet7 years agoRising ScoutThe fact that these non-free items with their tasks don't come back around is just another reason why Tapped Out isn't actually free - you can't get certain things without paying for them.
Now if the game wasn't called free, I wouldn't mind. But it is called free. Except it's not. "Loanet;c-1979635" wrote:

Again, this concept is not a difficult one to grasp. The game is free to play. You don't need those things to participate."TheJuiceLoosener;c-1979650" wrote:

It is difficult when you have it in your head that EA is out to get you"Loanet;c-1979635" wrote:

The game is provided free of charge, but (as with a zillion other such digital products), money (or premium currency) is charged for additional virtual goods. My 8-year-old nephew understands the freemium concept. I can imagine someone downloading the app without understanding the pricing model on which it based, but it would rapidly become clear to anyone playing it who had a brain. You may not like the model, but there’s nothing devious or surreptitious about the way it’s implemented. You either come to terms with it or quit."KrustyBrand;c-1979654" wrote:

Or complain constantly on an anonymous message board. And come up with all sorts of wild conspiracy theories.
