The fact that these non-free items with their tasks don't come back around is just another reason why Tapped Out isn't actually free - you can't get certain things without paying for them.
Now if the game wasn't called free, I wouldn't mind. But it is called free. Except it's not.
The game is provided free of charge, but (as with a zillion other such digital products), money (or premium currency) is charged for additional virtual goods. My 8-year-old nephew understands the freemium concept. I can imagine someone downloading the app without understanding the pricing model on which it based, but it would rapidly become clear to anyone playing it who had a brain. You may not like the model, but there’s nothing devious or surreptitious about the way it’s implemented. You either come to terms with it or quit."KrustyBrand;c-1979654" wrote:

Or complain constantly on an anonymous message board. And come up with all sorts of wild conspiracy theories."daved7637397;c-1979656" wrote:

Again, this concept is not a difficult one to grasp. The game is free to play. You don't need those things to participate.
It is difficult when you have it in your head that EA is out to get you
My advice to anyone who holds that belief is to not play any EA games. That'll show 'em.
I agree. If I dont like how a Pizza tastes, Im not going to keep ordering and complainingb hoping they will change just because I like pizza. Im going to find a place where I like their food.
But thats just me...

Bingo. Here's a real world example: My nephew's school basketball games are free to attend. At those games, the team's booster club will sell souvenirs and concessions. While buying that stuff may enhance my experience, I'm not obligated to buy any of those things. The game is still free for everyone."0Brooders0;c-1979667" wrote:

Exactly. Don't be Homer eating the rotten 10ft. hoagie. It makes him sick but he refuses to throw it away.

The game is free. Anyone should be able to see that. The question is: Can you play without spending money? The answer is yes. The question of whether the game is free is that simple, you can not load the question with what ifs and but but but. I have said this many times here. Repeating something enough times does not make it true. The fact that you post the game is not free, over and over, to the point of alienating yourself from many people here, does NOT make it true.
I believe everyone is entitled to an opinion, and yours is obvious and posted often. Often enough that its starting to be disrespectful of people who disagree, as you keep hammering totally negative messages. If I felt that strongly negative about the game I would quit playing.
This is not intended to change your opinion, or challenge you, but to suggest that you are being so negative that you are starting to receive backlash. That is never a good thing. Enjoy the game and the forum, feel free to post your opinions, but remember that not all of us may agree with you. - Now if the game wasn't called free, I wouldn't mind. But it is called free. Except it's not.
^^ if everyone played for free this game would not exist. Have some respect for those of us that pay. Okay. :/
Your continued slagging off of the game and us who pay for you to keep playing is annoying
Quit. Your continued pessimism. "0Brooders0;c-1979699" wrote:

Or go away. Enough with the constant ragging on EA.
Dont get me wrong, Im not sticking up for EA, in fact I rag on them constantly. More then you ever could. Check my post history if you think Im lying. But I complain about actual problems, such as waiting a year and a half to "fix" a well known glitch affecting thousands of players, customer service dumping paying cutomers here with some nonsense about developers. Thinga that matter. Not whether a game is free or not. Or if they are conspiring against us with how they offer donut sales. Point being if you going to complain, make it count. Complaining about a free game calling itself free or not is just crap. Next you will be arguing about what the definition of the word "is" is! They may bend the word free, but bottom line is you CAN play without ever spending a penny. There are quite a few people on here who are day 1 players who have NEVER spent a single penny on this game. This isnt directed at them, for the record. God bless them, I wish I had their self control some days. But this non stop rant about ea and their conspiring againts us with their offers, and all the other crap you bring up is wearing thin.
There. I feel a little better now. Rant over. Now where is that ignore list again?
