We've all seen it happen when we are at the gas station, checkout lines, etc. Seems there are times when "everyone" shows up at once. Well it's not really everyone. So what I do is probably what most do; when I go to my SF I see if there are things that were not tapped. Like my brown houses which I don't collect on. My extra Kwik-E-Marts. If so, then there was stuff for friends to tap.
So I'm just starting a new town. At level 9. Does anyone have a general rule of thumb for how many friends can be supported by a given number of houses? Say for a 4-hour player. Assume I'm willing to build brown houses and not tap them except to clear handshakes. Obviously (number_brown-houses*3) >= number_of_friends will work, but just as obviously I don't need that many if I'm clearing the handshakes every 4 hrs in a 12 hour day.
TIA
Wouldnt that mathematical model assume that your friends' visits are somewhat equally distributed into those 4-hour periods? Or that, if on their first visit for the day they see nothing available, they will return a second or third time to see if your town has something to tap? Keeping in mind that THEY have no way of knowing you'll be back in only four hours time ...
I find that visits happen in clumps ... And that most people tend to do their rounds in their evening hours ... Don't you?
