Hard to leave buildings alone again!

It's only been a few hours since I updated, so I'm sure I'll get back to "normal" soon, but right now it's hard to leave the dollar signs, cash registers, and restaurant bills alone!

Does anyone else have a hard time switching gears?

No, I need 6mm to get the new tower. Adapt or perish!

Anyone know where the new landing zone is?

Your landing zone normally would be the place your game starts from when you 1st open it :)

When the stonecutters event was on it changed but it should be back to normal now or at least mine is (after the update)

My landing zone has moved (since before Stonecutter's) about 2 streets southeast (if there is such a thing!). It's in a less active area of my town, I might have to make some changes.

Have you got all the land? Or did you buy some more? cos the more land you own the landing zone will move accordingly

Oh - nope, still buying, and I bought an entire new strip during the event, have 4 more plots to go (including water) then I have it all. So that's why it moved! Again - thanks - to an experienced tapper!

You may not like the look that this will give but,....

I pushed all the way to the sides on all sides, but in just a strip. This located the center of my town. I then put the building there that I wanted.

Now to earn the money to buy the rest of the land!

I started doing that on all four sides until my son convinced me that all I needed were the strips all along the mountain side and all along the water side, which are the (relatively) cheap edges. Not pretty, but it anchored my center. Honest. It worked. :)
  • We've all seen it happen when we are at the gas station, checkout lines, etc. Seems there are times when "everyone" shows up at once. Well it's not really everyone. So what I do is probably what most do; when I go to my SF I see if there are things that were not tapped. Like my brown houses which I don't collect on. My extra Kwik-E-Marts. If so, then there was stuff for friends to tap.

So I'm just starting a new town. At level 9. Does anyone have a general rule of thumb for how many friends can be supported by a given number of houses? Say for a 4-hour player. Assume I'm willing to build brown houses and not tap them except to clear handshakes. Obviously (number_brown-houses*3) >= number_of_friends will work, but just as obviously I don't need that many if I'm clearing the handshakes every 4 hrs in a 12 hour day.

    TIA

Yea, I got used to tapping all my cash signs. I bought and sold a lot of bloodmobiles over the past 2 level updates, about 25 million worth. I am at 9.5 million now so I want to tap my cash so I can buy the sit and rotate...

Wouldnt that mathematical model assume that your friends' visits are somewhat equally distributed into those 4-hour periods? Or that, if on their first visit for the day they see nothing available, they will return a second or third time to see if your town has something to tap? Keeping in mind that THEY have no way of knowing you'll be back in only four hours time ...

I find that visits happen in clumps ... And that most people tend to do their rounds in their evening hours ... Don't you?

  • I need money, so I just leave a bunch of brown houses for neighbors. During the day it works because I login about every 4 hours and the houses are never filled with handshakes. During the night I can't tap the other buildings so my neighbors can tap them aswell. I think it works perfectly.

And I keep visiting everyone between events aswell because FREE DONUTS.
  • I can't stop tapping! I figure that many of my neighbors will not be tapping as much as last week so it will all work out.
  • Although it was annoying to have the emblems lose value over time, it did give me a good idea when a lot of tapping was going on in my town. That helped me sort out when I needed to check in more, and how many buildings I need to have available.

People are already tapping less since the end of the Stonecutters event, but the time breakdown seems to be the same. I'm still leaving most things untapped, just because I hate to check into a neighbor's town and find nothing there. I can usually find time to check in later, but I don't expect everyone else to be able to do the same for me.
