Has Anyone Experienced this Kind of Freezing???

Is your phone pretty full?
  • So, EA finally fixed my account.

But, when I finally was able to log-in, thousands of my decorations have been put back into storage.

I guess when they give you that decoration warning, they really mean it! haha, anyways thanks EA. But now my town looks half-nuked.
  • Ever since Gil showed up, my game loads ( donut spinning) then crashes and goes back to my home screen. I've done everything, deleted, reinstalled, trying it on other devices. It seems like an origin problem, cause it's only when I log into my account. I emailed EA about this today, still haven't heard anything. Is there anything else I can do?

    Welcome to the forum!

Do you get the Origin login at the bottom left on the splash screen?

When this was happening to me I never got past the donut spinning and then a crash to the home screen. This fixed it for me....

Depending on your device.... go into your application manager, clear the cache, clear the data, uninstall. Then reinstall. If the game then opens with just Homer, hit your back button to exit the game. Restart your device. Rerun the game. At that point I was able to login, and all was ok again.

    Good luck!
  • Yes. I've tried everything to deleting, reinstalling, clear cache. I play on an ipad 2 with a lot of free memory. Not sure what is going on, but I feel like it is an origin problem, cause I can play with out signing in. I've tried it on my iPhone and my daughters iPod. All does the same thing.. Spinning donut, then slows down in spinning and then poof crashed.. Back to my home screen on my ipad. It's extremely frustrating. I'm addicted to this game.

Sounds like you are saying that if you do not log in then you can play the beginning of the game. But if you do log in, then you get the crash. Right?

Since you tried it on other devices with the same behavior, it sounds like your town is the issue. There are a few other people with issues loading their town. I don't know if you all have the same issue. One person just posted that it was too many items in their town. EA fixed it for them. Another contacted EA without a resolution yet. See

I think you'll have to contact EA. At least you'll have done what they normally recommend.

Yes that is what is going on. I send a message to EA today. So we will see what they say. Hopefully. Thanks for hpung me out. Could be I have too much decorations... I have a lot.
    Thanks again.
  • It seems my problems are sorted now. I uninstalled it from the device, then turned the device off, making sure it was at least five minutes, opened it all up and I went straight into the start of the game. I came out of it and forced the game closed, went back into the game and went to the log-in page (although previous times I had similar problems I've had to complete a little of the tutorial, and force close a second time). After that all was fine! :)
  • Unfortunately, after EA fixed my problem last week - the same issue reoccured. I believe the issue was because I exceeded the decoration limit.

But this time, I did not exceed the limit - but still experiencing log-in issues.

It's frustrating because they stored ALL my (hedges, stonecobble walls, fences, pine trees, shrubs) last time. And I believe they'll do the same again…

Upset because they'll probably have an update soon…and I probably can't log-in for another week.

    Help me out EA...
