With Josh's post, claiming many players don't like the update/the update was a waste of time as usual, I wanted to create a poll to contrast this.
Yay. Troll is back one hour and already there's threads responding to his negativity. The forum was nice for a while. It's funny how quickly people jump on his band wagon. But sheep do need a herder...
Imho this was the best event I've played.
Not only did it restore my frustration from easter, it renewed my enjoyment for building my town, which is how i finished my full rebuild.
The event required a lot of attention, but that effort was actually rewarded! I found it very easy for even a freemium to acquire all the prizes.
I don't mind they are skins. We have been asking for new tasks for the regular characters for a long time. That's what skins are!
And the final prizes weren't like individual iconic features, like say... Skorpio's Lair, but we now all have a complete SC section with walls, lodge, table, and more, within having to spend mad donuts. And naked Homer on the stone is hilarious, i don't care what trolls say about it.
The event was awesome. If you don't think so, you really should just stop playing this game because this is about as good as it gets.
I'd like to not be called a sheep, thanks. I loved this event, I'm trying to show josh thst the majority of players do to. I not responding to negativity at all.
My apologies; the way i worded that sounds like i was including you as one of his followers, rather than someone attempting to contrast the negativity of him and his fans. My bad.
And @icognita:
Yes i respect anyone's RATIONAL opinion whether it differs or not. But no, i don't give equal weight to irrational ones that infer nothing is ever good enough because the event didn't address and satisfy the desires of individual players with extraordinarily high expectations.
I see you like to be antagonistic and insult people, where in my post did I imply that nothing is ever good enough. In fact I said there have been other events that I fully enjoyed more and the point of the thread was did you enjoy this particular event. I said it was good not great. What extraordinarily high expectations do you speak of. Where did you get any of this reply from. I think your reply was irrational.
Replies likes this are exactly why I have backed away from this forum for awhile, too antagonistic, too insulting and too quick to jump on someone for stating their opinions.
What you THINK you SEE is inaccurate.
I only quoted you because i was replying to your indirect question, are people allowed to have differing opinions, to which i replied yes if they are rational i do respect them. I did not suggest you were irrational at all. My opinion about irrational posts had nothing to do with you at all. In fact, i just thought you deserved an honest reply.
Your defensiveness is unwarranted. But thanks for double checking before the knee jerk response. You can see i give apologies when due, but i also don't require them. Back on topic. - The #1 task schedule was rather grueling at times and I did miss getting all 4 quite a few times. Even so, I still finished in plenty of time and are now collecting the free bonus doughnuts. :D
The Stonecutter Lodge is great as is the money "relaxation" pool, and the stonecutter table. The puzzle scrolls were an interesting addition and limiting them to one a day was a nice touch. Forced people to pace themselves instead of rushing through the whole thing. I like the skins as well, but just wish there were more individual tasks to go with them. - Best event for me, with the daily mini quests and a little work you have plenty of time to complete :D
Just bump there was no land for sale... - This event was definitely really awesome!
There are several reasons for that:
1. The theme! I was hoping stonecutters would have an event! :D
2. The prizes were really good. Granted past events had some better prizes but for what this event was I couldn't have asked for more.
3. They listened to us and took that dreaded chance based prize system out of the game!
4. Everything seemed balanced. Requirements weren't too high at all. It was just perfect!
5. I loved the quest.
6. We had multiple ways to get prizes. Daily scrolls, and the usual emblem collecting prizes.
7. This really has nothing to do with the event, but I loved the new level update, and the new FP prize. I wasn't sure if we were going to get another level update during the event. Nice surprise! :)
Could things have been better? Yes, but that doesn't mean we need to bash the event like someone has...
The developers need a huge  for this event! Igcognita wrote:
I stand by what I said earlier, I think you like to be antagonistic
*facepalm* I can't tell if you deliberately take everything personal or are just stubborn once you accidentally take something personal. I saw nothing antagonistic addressed directly to you, and the subject of negativity has already been mentioned by name. Talk about being far too serious.- Whoa Josh is back? Eep.
I enjoyed the event immensely. I dont think there was a thing about it that I didn't like. spidergirl79 wrote:

Hah! That was sort of my response, too. The forum has been so (mostly) positive lately. It's been nice.- I have enjoyed this event. Good storyline. Nice prices. Thanks to EA.
- one of my favourite events next to Halloween 2012 :-)
- I liked the event, but I was not impressed by the prices to be honest. I'd welcome a similar event with better prices and an FP like system to gain emblems from visiting friends. Just awarding 60 actions is a bit low.
Of the prices I only really like the money pool and the table.
