We could definitely do with some more female characters in the game be they dead or alive in the show makes no difference to me, also the barny/homer task above would be cool even although we have quite a few tasks with other characters that already need homer .

No, she definitely died in the show as well. There is a short clip at the end of an episode (Im sure it's on YouTube) where it shows Ned sitting with a picture of Edna and a picture of Maude and Ned is wearing a black armband. He says he will miss her laugh. It was a very sweet tribute.

It's at the end of "The man who grew too much" episode.
Ned recalls how much he loved Edna.

Just because a character is dead does not mean that there is nothing to be added. Dead people and their oxygen deprived brains still are more intelligent than those who breathe (usually). As in the great words of Henry Gibson in Kentucky Fried Movie, (I'll paraph)dying is the number one cause of death. Dead people should not, (for the purposes of this game)'be discriminated against as well all know people who breathe for appearances only. It's not like any oxygen is reaching their brain to form a coherent thought. So, i say, bring back yer dead!!
