Many people have said that they have used the dice for defense, but it didn't clear the quest. I tried a few times before I realized that I shouldn't be tapping on a shield and then it worked fine.

yes I figured out how to use the cheaters die , to defend a attack , and the quest is clearly bugged , on the other hand EA gave me 15 donuts for being one of the early adopters of the new event , so that's my fix , no complaints !

I hate this glitch I really hope they fix it soon. No matter how many times I successfully defend my town with the dice it doesn't clear from my task book. Stupid dice! :evil:

I'm guessing "roll out a patch"? Even that reads weird. "Roll out a patch in the game."

Yeah, I realize, but I seriously just copied and pasted. I have the complete email chain if really needed. The broken English actually made me feel a bit better because it felt like actual contact with a real customer support rep. Also during my contact they refunded me some donuts wasted on a last-ditch-effort to complete the defend your Springfield quest. I've had nothing but extremely positive results when dealing with support so far, so I am confident they will live up to the 72 hour window offered, most likely sooner.
