I won Tapped Out

I constantly get that message, and even though I've been removing unnecessary decorations, flowers, lowering my chair, chaise lounge, tables, and all kinds of crap, I still get the same message. This game has so many bugs, we need a bugologist, so many glitch's we need a glitchologist, and EA to join forces to fix this game, especially since the monorail event started.

I've reached 7500 too, and still have a lot of buildings left to decorate...

Will EA (hopefully sooner than later) mak it possible to have a higher number of buildings/decorations in your town? Does anyone know?

Only EA know the answer to your question and they play with their cards close to their chest.

When you reach 4500, you'll get a message saying something along the lines of "you've reached the maximum suggested number of items. You can continue to place items, but it may affect the performance on your device"

Then you'll receive a similar warning every 150 items you place (and it tells you your number each time: 4650, 4800, 4950, etc up to 7500), which is when you get the message in the OP.

C'mon EA, raise the deco limit already! :D

Looks like it has been. Used to be that news like this would be heralded by trumpets but nowadays it just sneaks by. Kind of like new land.
