$1000 may not be much to you but its a lot of money to other players...those that aren't level 37.
Those that don't have millions in the bank.

Consider level 14 for example. You can buy land with just a few of them.
Collect enough and thats a free building.

I've hit it enough times, its bought me a new piece of land at level 37 and I enjoy that.
Its free money so why not take advantage of it?

I dont know why they always have to be so bloody stingy with the prizes in this game, as you say it takes all the fun out of it. Obviously the guy who was giving out donuts on halloween was a temp, he certainly isnt around anymore ;)

Yeah, I'd totally prefer if the wheel just had a blank spot that gave nothing at all!

I'm not saying the wheel is fantastic or anything. A lot of frustration has come out of it, and I could name a few (reasonable) things I'd rather have than the money. (Gift bags, for instance.) But you'd rather have nothing? That's ridiculous.

Its not ridiculous.

Think of it like this.

You work really hard at your job, that is say at an advertising agency, you land the biggest client your firm has ever had, a $10000000 account, your boss calls you into his office and gives you a $1 bonus. I think in that situation you'd rather he didnt bother.

Or, you work as a waiter. There is a big party at one of your tables, they order the most expensive food and the most expensive drinks, you give them great service, they have a good laugh with you all night and when the time comes to pay up they leave you a $1 tip. I think youd be less insulted if they left no tip.

I think it's meant to be a booby-prize. Just like the trees in the Mystery Box.
