Some people don't grasp the concept of gambling.
I've spent only on getting TWO pink egg generators, thats it. I haven't gotten the blocko store, the lizards, father sean, or shari bobbins. My spending money on those didn't entitle me to greater odds.
As Annette pointed out so clearly in a thread last night, tapped out is NOT a gambling game. It's a town building, creative, collecting, co-operative game (to paraphrase, sorry to Annette). EA introduced the gambling aspect when it wasn't requested, and it isn't being tolerated by the long term players. I'm a mostly freemium player, and I'm happy with what I "win" but it took Annette's thoughtful response to make me really realize why this update is upsetting so many premium players and why this goes beyond just getting stuff.
IT'S. NOT. GAMBLING.
Do you understand what gambling is.
You guys play a game of chance every day with the scratchcard so I really don't get what you're talking about with this 'gambling' nonsense.- Any game of chance is gambling. When the game started there were no scratchcrds etc in it. These have all been added by stages. I do not play any of them. Building a whole update on chance is taking it to a different level.

Sounds like gambling to me, here's the dictionary definition:
"1.a. To bet on an uncertain outcome, as of a contest.
b. To play a game of chance for stakes.
2. To take a risk in the hope of gaining an advantage or a benefit."- Taking a risk is gambling. The term gambling is not limited to casinos, poker games, and dog tracks. Sassing your mother is a gamble. You are sure to get something out of it. If you're lucky, it won't be a smack across the face.

If 'gambling' pixels for pixels offends some people then why don't they just skip the event? They don't have to use the eggs and they will disappear at the end of the event.
Personally I'm surprised there are not complaints from animal activists about zapping cute bunnies in a game!!!
I bet if everyone got the prizes quickly then the complaints wouldn't be about gambling or how ea has wronged them but about how easy it is or how bored people are. There always has to be something... Sad. I feel sorry for the developers who have to put up with this every event.
As I've said before, I've won some good prizes in this event but I still think the random system sucks. The old way just made so much more sense. Don't feel sorry for the developers - they're rubbing their hands together with glee!andrewsworld1 wrote:

I want to know why my dogs and hawk are doing nothing to "help" with my rabbit infestation.johnny50373 wrote:

Don't forget your cat! They'll tear up a rabbit!andrewsworld1 wrote:

You skimmed through the complaints I imagine. Being offended isn't the issue people have with the chance based system.jasonbd77 wrote:

I have to say, that I have never understood animal activists. They only fight for selective animal types (mostly ones they like). Environmentalists however are way superior, because they want to save whole environments and thus saving all animal species within that environment.kingmob31838 wrote:

At least with the scratch card you are guaranteed to win. You can spend hundreds of donuts on eggs and open hundreds of boxes and you still may not be able to complete the event. THATS why people are upset, not because they are "offended" like some else said (wtf?)
