Yeah, a while ago now. the gingerbread house unlocks at 10,000 goo and I'm well past 20,000 by now.

It depends if you go over if you hit it. This has been posted in the Halloween tip section for weeks now.

If you have 15999 goo and you collect 250 goo from Gremlins, you will trigger the box, but that 249 goo won't go towards the next box. Any amount that goes over the box DOES NOT APPLY TO THE NEXT BOX. So each time you go over, you move the count back. So if your treat box says 1983/2000, and you go over by 18+, then every goo over 18 DOES NOT COUNT for the next box. Once the box is opened, it starts a fresh 2000 from the point you had when the last box was opened.

So once again if you are approaching it be careful with the gremlins.
