I buy 300 donuts a month on average which works out at less then 50p per day. Cheap entertainment.

If you can spare the money you should do it, it gives your town lots ofcolor and the extra characters are always a great help in events like this.

I didn't vote but once I hit the 60 mark I'm pretty much done. @ 53.92 atm xmas will be the final countdown. Once they pull the plug on the servers I'm sure there will be hell Toup?e.

At the beginning I wasn't willing to spend money on another city building app. I had played a few but I have to say, I retire from most after I had all the freemium stuff. After a while of playing, I realised that I have played this game, more than any other game pretty much ever so I thought I could perhaps pay. I occasionally buy scratchies and find iTunes gift cards on sale before major events and buy donuts now. I do admit, the Valentines glitch that paid out so many donuts, I got a taste for them. I would still say, that glitch paid out more donuts than I have purchased.

Is spending money on this game worth it?

It's worth whatever you think it's worth. Beware though, it's a slippery slope after your first donuts purchase.

BTW there is an interesting episode of South Park on this very subject this week. Fans of the show and this game should watch as you should appreciate the satire.

I answered yes, assuming you can/want to spend money this way. It is somewhat like buying digital music or books for an e-reader, both of which I also do.

My wife and I buy donuts occasionally because we enjoy the game and feel we should give back it's development. Given that it is not ad supported or anything we feel it is worthwhile.

It's a hobby like anything else, so why not spend a little money on it? I've only bought $50 worth so far; it's the best bang for your buck, since you get 900 donuts, which is one dollar for 18 donuts. If I ever get more, I will only get the $50 package.

I think it's worth it if you have money to burn. If not just save your money for more pressing things. I was gonna spend some money on this game this year ($100 to be exact), but I changed my mind after seeing so many bad updates. Maybe next year I guess.
