I have continued to send all the characters on the 8 hours "hunt for the Simpsons" task while leaving Homer/Lisa in the treehouse. I now have over 46,000 gift cards. I will continue to exploit this until I get all the prizes from Krusty's Wheel of Donut Spend (I have only the snow god to go)

yes, I am wondering about that as well. When the Christmas update hit, anyone who was done with task was "kicked off it" and if that happens say on the 22 with the start of the speculated about addition to the quest line, then my Homer/Lisa would also be kicked off the task, thus ending it, or as you say, they could "fix it" though I am not so sure it is a "glitch"

Then the solution would be to only send one of the Simpsons to hide. Then, if the patch a fix to complete, you still have the other Simoson to hide, or is this not possible? Idk, I'm at make Lisa ponder right now. Still got a ways to go.

Great info folks thank you. I doubled up on the restraunt task. So that worked. I sent people to mods now and booing to cash out on that. I have moves the tree house and will do the same for that task.
Unfortunately when I took my coins to the wheel I only got cash and a $50 card... But I won't start cutting myself over the wheel yet. It's only a game.

well, at least till 3 or 4 of January.. then you should consider to complete all the xmas stories ;-)
by the way, I'm using the restaurant trick even for the free beer, and now for the xmas presents...

all i did was sent everyone that could of the quest then remembered where homer was and left him there whilst i sent everyone else again.

they seem to go to the closest restaurant to them
