If you tap the speakers and then release the snakes from the log, rock, and stump they will gather by the speakers. Just make sure you put the stereo right next to the those places before you let them...

Found your problem, you were just on for a long time. I haven't noticed any changes increased consumption, just that I'm playing longer, which drops the battery level.
