People have a "Thing" for numbers ending in 5 or 0
Example: lets say ive been married for 22 years, no one gives a darn, now lets say its been 25 years.....oooohhhh now its a milestone, and for some reason 22 is inferior to 15 simply because of this milestone mentality.
but lets talk numbers, people like even numbers, its sometimes evident in the amount of kids they want or kids they have (some things you cant control you know?).
Personally heres how i view things
1 is the loneliest number youll ever do
2 is the amount of doubles i have of things
3 is a crowd
3.141592 is pie
6 is the amount of pokemon i can have on my team
9 is the amount of sleeves in those trading card sheets (my greatest disilike but you have no other alternative)
10 is divisible by 5 and also my favorite multiple its nice, its round, simple yet big.
on the other hand Annete/Forumnerds has done the math, in the last few months since the last level update we've had a lot of limited items totaling a nice chunk of donuts easily thousands, and with them being limited time and not permanent , say because of a level update, people tend to buy them and stock up in case they dont come back/take too long to come back.
See a level is more than just a number and a donut exp reset, its a marker, a checkpoint, a line, a chicken sandwich.
An event on the otherhand is more like a buffet or a bucket of chicken.
See in order to get to the chicken (for the sandwich) you need to bite through two layers of bread, the top one is level requirements, the bottom is quest and or character requirements after that your given a freemium character.
The bucket of chicken is different, see sometimes you got to pay and sometimes its more of an invitation, and depending on when you arrive you may be greeted with first dibs or with very little or nothing at all, which is often the case for newer players/ players that join an event late.
See level updates guarantee permanent content, it guarantees that freemium character, that chicken in between the chicken sandwich.
Events simply offer characters, the promise of chicken wings and drumsticks, you may have to pay, or you may have to work for em, depending on when you arrive you may fill your appetite or you may have to settle with leftovers.
It may be a terrible analogy but i've got chicken on the brain (need to watch less back to the future)
