Why couldnt the monorail just be one big giant expensive item like the popsicle stick skyscraper and the escalator to nowhere. Its not like stuff in the town is to-scale anyway.
A monorail is an elevated train that usually goes around nearly all of the town it encompasses.
Now that you all know what a Monorail is explain how it is a good idea to put a elevated train system that in order to follow any kind of actual logic would have to go around the town and have MANY track parts.DogmaTriple6 wrote:

Hmm well I do know what monorail is considering we have the Skytrain in my city. But the monorail was incomplete in the Simpsons episode, right? Then would it matter if it spanned across the whole town??spidergirl79 wrote:

It's been ages since I've actually watched the whole episode but I thought it was just made extremely cheap and was falling apart and the lever to the train broke so they were going around in circles non stop.
I think the person who Marge visits in that episode his town had the incomplete Monorail.
If you can think of that guy off the top of your head LOLZ with me.
BTW whoever mentioned that the sizes aren't always to scale, I agree. The mall should at least be doubled in size.- I hope any new additions get more attention then Krusty Land.

As I recall, when I placed one of the cars near the mall (one of Chalmer's Ondas) the mall was roughly two-car-lengths. Taking a wild guess that a car is generally about 20 feet long, that makes the mall 40-feet-by-40-feet, or roughly 1600 square feet. (Did I do that right? )
On the upside, the Springfield Mall doesn't need any more parking spaces. :)annettemarc wrote:

I honestly scale up every item and think that's a major factor to the game, the mall was one of the first real obvious scale failure let downs. :C- What is this complaining about a monorail?
(Yeah, I'm from holland, so did not see a episode with monorail) DogmaTriple6 wrote:

That was me who mentioned it. How about the sizes of the characters? Most of them probably couldnt fit through the most doors, except the kids!- So what if the Monorail was actually an expansion. If the Monorail acted like the Krustyland shuttle and then had an animation of the monorail that played while it transported you to a new section of Springfield? The new section would be more land that plays just like the current Springfield but perhaps with some slightly different landscape features, and all of the items from one would be able to be placed in the other. I think this would keep the servers from overloading while also giving more land to spread out.
Just a thought.... - Yay........monorail !
I've always wanted that and I don't care how much space it takes. My SF could lose a few brown houses !
Just my two cents...........
