I have (almost) all the figures and sets from that line, never opened them, sitting in rubbermaid containers in my basement. I have "toyed" (pun intended) with the idea of opening the Kang and Kodos set, but have never actually gone through with it.

I think I gave up when I couldnt find the Deep Space Homer figure, I wanted that one more than any of the others. Plus I figure it probably looked weird to have a grown man hitting up the toy aisle at Toys R Us so often. ;)

Lol not really I collect hot wheels and have hundreds, but not as serious as a work mate of mine. He is in his 50s and he goes to the toy aisle with a notepad of all the cars he has,so he can check the numbers and make sure he isnt buyin doubles because they released the same car several times with different liveries. He has over 2000 cars all in original boxes and on display. He has about 5000 altogether if you count his matchbox collection to, he recently switched to hotwheels.

oh wow...i have this entire collection....plus the enviroments

will be selling them sometime next month as i have no room to display them.

...and i know i will regret parting with them.....but i would like see them "enjoyed" rather than stored

Wow, this brings back memories, not all of them pleasant. Don't remember how I discovered WOS, but it was about halfway through the run-- so I had to haunt eBay to get the ones that had already been discontinued. At that time the value was high, so it was an expensive quest, and some figures like Smithers were outrageously priced for some reason. Plus I was determined to own two of everything, one to play with and one to keep MIB, so that made it twice as expensive. Now, of course, prices have crashed, so if I were to sell I'd get back a fraction of what I paid. The plan now is to wait until one of the kids moves out so I can turn his room into a Simpsons shrine. Until then, everything's in the garage

It's funny this thread showed up, as just yesterday I stumbled into a comic shop that came into a TON of these figures.

Managed to snag a Hank Scorpio for $5. Happy day indeed! :)

It also reminded me of a few characters we could use. Namely Blue-Haired Lawyer and Sarcastic Guy.
