events should be able to be played at the pace a person wants to play not something where if you miss a day or two you can't get enough items to grab prizes because they change to the next set after a few days
But even if the prizes were on one big list instead of three separate ones, by playing at one's own pace (i.e. slowly?) a player still couldn't get everything by the end. This event is exactly what the people who very very vocally complained about the Christmas/Valentines/Easter random prize systems were asking for, so don't fault EA for giving it to them. Patience is a virtue, as it is only October 14. By the end of the event, we'll all have plenty of awesome new Halloween stuff in our towns!teo47 wrote:

even with a few neighbours or none missing a few days here and there anyone should be able to finish the events
i don't remember anyone complaining about the way you got perosnal prizes (besides easter).. people hated random wheels and the easter random boxesbaddazoner wrote:

Fair enough, but you clearly have a different opinion than those who have also complained loudly about being bored because they finished an event with several weeks to go. I guess it's just impossible to please everyone! :)
Personally I don't have an issue with the event mechanics because more effort = more rewards is how life works in general.- Exactly. And sorry, if you don't get involved in an event you shouldn't expect to get every prize. It's up to you.
- I'm happy to have an event going on, any event but this isn't my favorite. Feels like alien Easter to me.
Still glad to get the new content and definitely not bored. fuffazzoni wrote:
The only bad thing about this event is the fact that you can collect trickortreats only twice a day, making the questline a bit boring. Everything else is awesome, stomping aliens, sending eggs, shooting ufos, winning a ton of free donuts from bags and ufos, finding free multiplier items in the bags. And then the beautiful costumes for the kids' quests, the return of old and wanted items (that's for who doesn't have them), and new catchy items such as the portal (had the same impact to me as the all-seeing eye during SC) and great prizes such as hugo, spooky house, ubo and the donut machine. No community prizes? Who cares.
I agree that the 8hr and 16hr Trick or Treat times do drag.
Otherwise though, I am enjoying this update. I like how there are multiple things to do/collect and how the event and its content will unfold as time goes on rather than just make everything available all at once.
I started plating TO last year halfway through the Halloween update so there is a lot of great content I missed that I've been able to snag this year, plus the Drive-In Movie Theater and Space Mutant are almost worth this update in and of themselves!- actually I'm putting in very little effort compared to previous events and should still have the donut thing by tomorrow (I visit every 4hrs or so at best sometimes twice per day). I'm actually not bothered about the prizes at all I never am. What I like is something interesting going on to keep my attention. All you do with this event so far is squish aliens. Yes you can drop the few eggs you get off in neighbours towns but giving one to each of my neighbours in turn I still haven't got through the list once yet. As for shooting down spaceships I get about 2 goes per day so nothing very exciting there. The lack of things to do to help neighbours is the greatest disappointment to me.
- With the time involved, it is getting tiresome.
At none of the darn wheels.
Looking at my neighbors, it looks like a number are not playing/quit after a little while.
I am looking to get all items, but being listed in the top ten of my neighbors, many of which have been here from the reboot and have very aggressively gone for everything........ - I think this is a solid event. I guess you can please everyone.
- bluyoshi88810Seasoned NewcomerPersonally, I find this event to be more frustrating than just bleh. It takes forever to collect probes unless you spend all day on the game. I also hate this luck factor with the bags meaning it could take a week or a whole month to get Hugo or the Grand Pumpkin. Since the latest update, I've been getting the connection error screen on my Kindle so I'm using my Nook HD+.
