You get 100% of 225 with no bonus and it adds 3570.55% of 225 to that then multiplies by 5. There is some rounding goes on too, rounding up to the nearest 1 XP before the collider multiplies that by 5.
Divide your bonus by 100 then add 1, so it's 36.7055 times the 225 XP
I make that 8,258.735 but 41,285 / 5 is 8,257
There are some items that pay less bonus for XP than for $$s ( all good fun !! ) so it seems that applies here and your actual XP bonus is somewhere closer to about 3569.7% otherwise it would be 8,259 * 5 = 41,295
