right but the other user can act like a clown, correcting my sentences and my opinion for me. whatever, get off your high horse.
No one swore at anyone except for you. If you think I'm on a high horse, it's because you sunk pretty low.- During events, such as these, I would like longer tasks for characters that are not part of the storyline. I don't mind sending characters on individual tasks, but during events it becomes very time consuming.
The toy shop and seeing this request again just gave me an idea. What if there was a list like the town census we could access to send characters on tasks. If you notice in the toy shop you see a town census kind of list with the head view of the character at left, name and task middle, and a button at right. With one different the button is "start" when they are inactive. Once you click to send them on the task they go to the bottom of the list bringing the next one in the list to the top of the list.
So for my idea here, there would be a list like they toy shop. You would send the first one on a task you pick from their list. Once that is done the list would queue the rest with that same duration task of theirs. Basically like how clicking through each character now does with the characters task list. Except instead of tapping the upper left to bring up each characters task list you tap the "start" button for each character as they come to the top of the list just like how the toy shop list works. And any character that does not have a task with that duration (including an all outfit check for) would not be in the list until after clicking through the list. At that point a character task list popup for the first one that didn't have a fitting task could popup for you to select one and again queue the list for sending and repeat until there are none left to send. The list could be closed at any time and for example to go back to it to get the send a character on X duration task popup and queue up the list again with the new choice. If for some reason one wanted to not send everyone that can go on X duration task on that duration task.Raven_Darkstorm wrote:

Sounds wonderful! If a character has the same length tasks for different skins, can you visualize how that could work in?
Also, I know this is adding more burden, but I would love your thoughts on how you would like your list to handle "paired" tasks. (E.g., Dr. Hibbert has a standalone 8-hour task to go to a republican meeting, and Bernice has a joint 8-hour task to argue with her husband. Currently it only shows on Bernice's list. But they're the same duration ... )annettemarc wrote:

For characters with more than one skin with the same duration task I would think it best to either default to active skin or have the game pick at random between the tasks for the one queued up in the list. For joint tasks I'm going to have to assume something about inner workings. Assuming there is a hidden has task with so and so task that could be used to hide them from the queue so that the one that starts the task will be able to. But if that is not the case then they would need to process the tasks lists first before loading in the queue to check for joint tasks and hide the character(s) that don't start the task from the list so that the one that does start the task is in the list to get them all on the task. Hopefully that makes sense.drumnman wrote:
In before, "it's called 'Tapped Out' for a reason" posts.
For the record, I don't subscribe to this opinion myself. It's just that any time we have a discussion that mentions adding time-saving aspects to the game such as a "send all characters" or "clear all buldings" option, there is usually an army of purists who often trot out this line of reasoning.
My post was intended to serve as an eye roll towards that sort of logic.- Frimar21New Spectatorthis seems one of the most debated things today.. tapping or not tapping?
and knowing EA we will (eventually) have it only when no one will ask for it again, so that they can say "hey, we have had this great idea, providing you with this all new button..." :-)
and honestly I don't understand people complaining about this idea... you want to tap every single character? well, do it... but sometime, far from the events, when there is nothing specific to do or any storyline to follow, I would only be happy to have this option.. send everyone to 1/4/8/12/24hrs... and manually all the others that maybe don't have a task with that specific length..
so, I give you my +1 for this thread! go ahead, fight for us ;-) - I have wanted that for a long time. Lately, I get get tired/bored of giving tasks, one at a time. I mean, like 60-70 gets old. I'm mostly only giving jobs for xmas tasks or presents right now.
If I could give all 4 hour jobs at once (or 8 or 1 or whatever), then whoever is left clck them one at a time.
Having the option to do one at a time or all at once would be great!
For those who believe its called tapped out for a reason, well the problem is if I get "tapped out" I quit playing. I wonder if that's one of the reasons people quit? IDK - AnnathewickedRising Traveler

Neuro, have you ever met my grandma? She's the only one I've ever heard say this before- and I've always loved it! Just wondering..........
