You give him 100 blue eggs and get 50 pink, he gives you 100 pink eggs and gets 50 blue.
Suddenly, you went from 100 pink eggs and 0 blue eggs to 100 pink eggs and 50 blue eggs, basically getting the eggs for free.
This, of course, assumes you've been lucky on having bunnies dropping baskets.
