Hmm...now I'm wondering if Springfield and Shelbyville have to share the same map, like SH. Or if Shelbyville becomes it's own seperate area like KL.
Because I've already used up all the space and craming in Shelbyville without a significant land expansion would be kind of hard.

i heard that it will be its own chunk of land, but the catch is you can only use stuff from the Winter event to fill it :P


on a serious note, i just hope that if it is its own thing it is not a grind like SH...also dont need another krustyland....that being said, will work with what we get :)

That's my concern too. Not the Winter event stuff ;) , but rather if it will become a grind or if I will tend to ignore it after the first months like KL. But it wouldn't make much sense to build Shelbyville in Springfield. On the other hand there's a future Springfield in my town so going against common sense is clearly not a building code violation. :smiley:
But for now I kinda hyped.

I wouldn't mind if they opened up the back half of SH and maybe separate a Shelbyville area with mountains or something. That way we wouldn't have to go to a completely different area like Krustyland. I just hope they don't make the grinding too painful.

if this is actually going to be a thing and not just store items, i was thinking too about moutains on the other side...it would signal the end of land expansion in that direction for main springfield area though

I waited to see a complete list of what we'll be getting to completely make up my mind - and I'm still not impressed.

From the religious stand point, I'm neutral. I'd prefer something as generic as possible (like the last Christmas). Concentrating more on presents and the holidays being what they are - a mix of many beliefs. I lose interest when it becomes too specific to one particular sect. Not loving the theme any more than I would have liked it if it concentrated more on the Christian religious aspects (more Jesus, less Santa).

Mostly I don't like the theme because it's way too Clash of the Clones-ish. It's not even bright and colorful Ren Fair-ish, it's just rocks and dull colors - and while I totally get where and how the European tappers appreciate it more; it's just a little too eurocentric for my taste.

But those are even secondary complaints I could have rolled with (not every event is going to make everyone happy). I'm sorry, it's just not major event material. The new material/items being offered are much lower in count (and, impo, in quality) than what we usually get for a major event.

Had this been a little ten day mini-event, I would totally be defending it from the complainers. But as is, it is kind of a meager offering for one of the most anticipated events of the year and a bit of a disappointment.

this is OUTRAGEOUS! its a CHRISTMAS event, not a lets visit the next town one! i cant believe ea would do this. this HAS to be a joke! anyone remember the episode where homer was like"lets visit shelbyville" and everyone else was like "yeah we love this place!"? no? me neither!
