Back in the day blood sacrifice was what kept the world going, now it's complaining. Harry Potter splitting the finale didn't work well for me. The 3 kids standing still on the bridge staring into the camera at the end? What was that supposed to do, make me lose it or something? And if he tossed the resurrection stone before facing death, why was Harry able to resurrect? And if true love can save you from dark magic why was that married couple of good guys from the order of the phoenix unable to save themselves via love shielding?? Snape was good, his big character reveal sequence was the part that really shone.
This Potter event lacks the sense of importance and momentousness we see from the movies, and its not exactly crammed with specific wizarding content. .............I like it!
A little off-topic here, but since you asked about Harry Potter...
Spoiler
1. The book, as usual, was much better in relating the details of all of this.
2. The ending in the book was, IMO, much more satisfying than the movie.
3. The Resurrection Stone brought back the ghosts of loved ones (in Harry's case, his parents and Godfather), it had nothing to do with Harry not dying.
4. True love saved Harry when his mother gave her life to protect him. It was the act of giving everything willingly that gave the protection. Similarly, when Harry sacrifices himself willingly, without fighting back,to save everyone else, he imparts a measure of protection on them, which is, in part, why Voldemort's spells are less effective than they should be.
