Thoughts on Treehouse of Horror XXXI (Halloween 2020) Event
What did everyone think of this year's Treehouse of Horror/Halloween event which ended a few days ago?
I thought Hell was a great theme for a THOH/Halloween event and some of the characters and items added were pretty cool like the Demon Technician, Murder House, Old Scratch from the classic episodes and Beelzebart, Lisafer and Torture Coach from the newer episodes. I think some more items like the Hell Hole and the Lard Lad Devil Donuts (the Lard Lads in "The Day the Earth Stood Cool" episode) could've also been released with the event since the Devil Donuts Cart was included in the event. I was glad to see the Halloween music, dark rivers, and the falling leaves included in the background of the event.
I think the current format for the big events needs to at least be updated (the only changes added to it was at the end of last year/start of this year when the mystery box tokens were added and the events lasting 5 weeks instead of 4) but I am still glad there are updates still being released since TSTO is already 8 years old. It was a little better than last year's Halloween event in terms of the amount of new content was released (remember last year when 2/5 of the prizes were donuts instead of new items) but not as great as the earlier THOH events except for the Halloween event in 2015.
I miss the episode tie ins and the Halloween ones with the questions which gives a prize and donuts (if the question was answered correctly the first time).
