I feel like the only ball they dropped is not pulling the tasks which became unavailable to us. Example: It listed kids could still spawn nightmares from the fire, when they were changing over to brow...

While the Monster is doing the Sunken Temple task you have the Star Spawns appearing. You can visit 3 neighbours, come back to your town, hover in 1 area, collect your 20 Star Spawns and repeat.
Each time you collect from 3 of your neighbours your Star Spawn buffer fills back up, hence why if you visit more than 3, sometimes 3 triggers it, you receive the overrun message.
But I get the overrun message in neighbour towns even when my town is not spawning Star Spawn. So...it's probably automatically counting what your Camp Fire would be spawning, so and so many nightmares per minute.
I actually like that Act 3 is different. Thumps up at the Camp Fire totally lagged the game and I'd earned the last prize almost a week before Act 2 ended.
I could do with a few more brambles for my maze and I don't have much use for craftables other than brains, but there's still 9 days left.
