This started to happen to me during the Christmas update. It is really perplexing to me what is going on and this forum is offering no help since people keep offering suggestions that do not fit the description of what is happening. So let me clear some things up:
1) It is NOT the "Other Springfield".
2) It is NOT a second friend "cleaning" the graffiti of other friends.
3) It is NOT players who are anonymous (how would they be my friend in the first place????)
It happens when people who are my friends graffiti a building. Instead of their user name showing up when I clean it, the name "Frink" appears. It is that simple.
I have verified this by creating a new account. Friending myself. Putting graffiti on a building. Then immediately going and cleaning it.
Can anyone offer new ideas of what it is that fit the actual scenario?
